As always, winning team in caps
Baltimore at DENVER ? The Broncos will win this one, and I suspect that it won?t be very close. Ravens QB Joe Flacco is no match for Denver QB Peyton Manning, and the Ravens haven?t been quite the same team since they lost Ray Lewis to injury. They put on an inspiring show last week, when they beat Indianapolis, but the competition will be much fiercer on Saturday. Also, doesn?t everybody want to see a Manning-Tom Brady match-up? That can?t happen if the Ravens win.
GREEN BAY at San Francisco ? This Green Bay team is starting to resemble the Green Bay team that won the Super Bowl, while I still can?t get a handle on San Francisco. The 49ers are very good, and I like QB Colin Kaepernick, but do they really have the talent and experience to beat Aaron Rodgers and the Packers? I don?t think so.
Seattle at ATLANTA ? I?ve been waiting for Atlanta to fall apart under the weight of expectations, but it hasn?t happened yet, and I don?t think it?s going to happen. At least, not until the divisional championship. The Seahawks have shown a lot of spunk, but I don?t see them beating a team as good as the Falcons on the road.
Houston at NEW ENGLAND ? I?m hoping for a repeat of Houston?s regular season visit to Foxborough, when the Patriots made Texans QB Matt Schaub look like a high school quarterback, and I could relax and enjoy myself. But even if the game is close, I think the Patriots can win.
