Dubai Land Department launches real estate e-Mart | Dubai Land ...

Sultan Butti Bin Mejren, the Director General of the Land Department, said, "The LD seeks to enhance the e-transformation process in the framework of its strategy to upgrade the government services provided to the various segments of customers and investors. It also aims to comply with the best standards and technical practices, which are an essential part of the strategic goals aimed at improving customer service."

The Director General of Dubai Land stated that "The real estate e-Mart will be one of the most important sources for property information and best statistics for the local and the Middle East markets. The aims of this system is to provide unified electronic portal for owners, developers and brokers; thereby providing a simple business environment available to all. The e-Mart will use the data of properties registered in the government database to ensure validity of information of listed properties. Also, the portal allows the sale of properties directly or in auction. The system will issue a unified and distinct number for each property advertised in order to avoid repetition of offering the same property for sale. The e-Mart is set to promote investments through offering acquisition opportunities for the largest number of investors and it provides the government entities with an effective tool to help regulating the real estate market and to track the constant changes in the market and sets a future perspective of the real estate market transactions.

Bin Mejren noted that the real estate e-Mart was developed by Emirates Real Estate Solutions (ERES), the technical arm of the Land Department and it initially contains Simsari and online auction applications. The portal represents a safe and reliable channel of communication between buyers and sellers in the real estate market where clients are assured that information provided through the portal are right thus preserving their rights in case of dispute.

The e-Mart services all types of landlords as it allows the listing of properties for direct sale or through public auction for those willing to own properties in Dubai. Investors can own properties through auctioning or immediate booking of the property after viewing the related details ahead of purchasing the property and register the sale in the Dubai Land Department.
